We are currently in hypercare after a recent go-live and are performing frequent database restores from Production to a Sandbox environment.
In Production, we have several Data export jobs configured against a few BYOD data sources. The exported data is consumed by third parties and analytics solutions. These are not direct integrations, but the export jobs and BYOD configurations are still Production-specific.
After restoring the Production database to Sandbox, we need to remove or clean up the Production BYOD export configurations from the Sandbox environment.
However, we are unable to delete the configured export data sources.
Navigation: System administration > Data management > Configure data source
When selecting the data source and clicking Delete, the following warning is shown:
Source data formats cannot be deleted while dependent DMF data project execution exist. Delete dependent DMF data project execution and try again. When trying to delete the related Data export job, the following error occurs:
Definition Groups cannot be deleted while dependent IntegrationActivityTable exist. Delete dependent IntegrationActivityTable and try again.I checked the IntegrationActivityTable via table browser, but the Delete button is not enabled.
What is the correct/supported process to remove these Production Data export/BYOD configurations from a Sandbox environment after a Production database restore?
Also, is there a documented list of DMF/BYOD-related tables that should be cleaned up after a Production DB restore to Sandbox, specifically where the goal is to remove Production export jobs, execution history, and configured data sources?Any guidance on the safest approach would be appreciated.
