Hi Expert,
I am currently migrating from D365FO On-Prem to Cloud for a client. On the existing On-Prem, there is 1 server outside the D365FO server that contains a .NET application for creating RDLC reports, which contain queries directly to AxDb D365FO On-Prem. It can be described as follows:
D365FO On-Prem (with a button that opens the .NET link) -> .NET generates the report -> Displays the report
However, when migrating to D365FO Cloud, the database cannot be directly accessed externally. The client requests that the .NET application remain usable due to the large number of reports stored there. Is there a solution to keep the .NET application functional? When searching online, options like BYOD, Azure Data Lake, and Data Entities/Service API appear.
For additional information, the reports in the .NET application include:
- Order prints, packing slips, invoices, etc (need realtime)
- Analysis reports
