Best way to store and manage external resources in Dynamics 365?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a Dynamics 365 implementation where we need to store links to external documentation and software resources for our team.

What is the recommended approach for managing these references? Should they be stored in a standard URL field, a custom table, or another structure for easier maintenance and reporting?

Some of these resources are installation guides, update notes, and tool documentation, so we'd like users to be able to access them quickly while keeping everything organized and secure.

Has anyone implemented a similar solution? Any best practices would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @CU04080353-1

I would suggest you to create a new custom table and form to maintain all the documents. if there is any specific document or reference specific to any process you can create a custom field and add the reference there instead of creating a new table and form.
