Hello,
We are currently running Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO) in the Cloud, integrated with an Azure File Share that enables bidirectional synchronization with on-premises folders and Document Routing Agents (DRAs).
At present, these folders are shared across all companies within our ERP environment, which works for our multi-company setup.
Our goal is to reorganize the structure by separating the folders on a per-company basis. This would allow us to assign a dedicated server for Company X, another for Company Y, and so on, improving isolation, performance, and management for each entity. We also require a central shared folder to maintain access to common data across all companies.
Do you know if this level of folder separation is feasible within the Azure File Share setup for D365 FO? If so, could you provide guidance on the best practices or any specific configurations needed to implement bidirectional sync while preserving the shared folder?
So to tell it simple :
Now :
- Multiple companies
- One Azure fileshare synchronized with on OnPrem share (bidirectional) for ALL companies.
- Managed by ACL on the OnPrem share
Goal :
- Multiple companies
- One Azure fileshare per company ynchronized with on OnPrem share (bidirectional) per company
- Managed by ACL on the OnPrem share
Thank you for your expertise.
