General journal import using Excel online tool - Error (LTMLedgerJournalTrans)

Hi,

I am trying to import a General journal of type daily using the Excel online tool. I am able to create new lines in F&O however when I try to publish new line using the Excel online tool I get the following error message:

Error Publishing Row

Details:
A row created in data set LedgerJournalLines was not published. Error message: 'Write failed for table row of type 'LedgerJournalLineEntity'. Infolog: Info: Cannot create a record in LATAM journal lines (LTMLedgerJournalTrans). Reference: 0.
The record already exists..'

Hi,

I am no expert of South american Localization, but may I ask if you are using the correct entity?

Do you want to use the data entity made for south america ?

LATAM Ledger journal transactions entity

Hi @Sohaib Cheema,

The legal entity I am working in is a Mauritian entity (Country/Region = MUS, ISO = MU). This falls outside the South American localization, however I am struggling to identify the configuration point, where the system is trying to import to the LTMLedgerJournalTrans table?

Hi,

From your provided description, you do not operate in south america (Latin speaking countries). Please use the normal data entity for the GL imports.

Further, Could you please tell us the steps you have taken in the system for the import?

Hi,

It seems you are sing a journal entity which is specific to LATAM, if thats your requirement then you are missing a critical field mandatory for this localziation.

If not then you might need to use different entity .

When you click on Open in Excel option you might see multiple option so select which is not for localization

Hi Arvind Bharti,

We have reverted to using the default document template available for importing ledger journal lines. However, we still get the same error message. Here is a screenshot of the data entities that are used in the template when opening it:

We cannot see any reference to the LTM localization. Here is the default template being used:

Side note: Same Template worked for a different legal entity, but not for the Mauritian entity.

We found empty records in the LTMLedgerJournalTrans. We do not understand why the template is trying to write to this table.

Hi,

What is the country code for the primary address of the legal entity (Mauritius)?

If it is any of following countries, LATAM tables will come into execution because of your country code:

AR – Argentina
BO – Bolivia
CL – Chile
CO – Colombia
CR – Costa Rica
DO – Dominican Republic
EC – Ecuador
GT – Guatemala
NI – Nicaragua
PA – Panama
PE – Peru
PY – Paraguay
UY – Uruguay
VE – Venezuela

This falls outside the country region codes that will use LATAM tables.

Hi,

I have tried the same standard template in a demo environment and don't have this issue. Can you check using the table browser if there are any records in the table LTMLedgerJournalTrans with the journal number, voucher, and line number your try to insert?

What exact version of Dynamics 365 Finance are you using?
