Reconnect and Sign In Messages appearing in Dev and Uat environments

Hi,

I've recently started seeing these messages in my Dev & Uat Environments when opening the app designer

When selecting the 'Sign in button nothing happens.

I made some amendments to a Form, Saved and Published.  Asked the user to test the new fields.  They couldn't see the new fields in their view even though I could still.

Made the amendments in the Live environment, these were small, no risk, and the user can see them.

Is this something I can resolve within Power Platform Admin or is a support ticket to Microsoft required as they manage the servers??

Which table and form are you on? I don't recall seeing login requests to a "People Card" before, but it might be a feature I'm just not overly familiar with.

Regardless, I don't think that the sign in banner is effecting your publishing or updates in lower environment. I've sometimes found after making changes that I need to do a hard refresh of my browser (ctrl-click on the refresh button) before changes can be seen. Have you user try the following in the Sev/Sandbox.
    • Do a hard refresh of their browser two times
    • Try viewing in an incognito browser (this guarantees the cache is not holding onto the old version of the form)
    • Have them verify and validate the form and information they are seeing. If you are not screen-sharing with them, do so and make sure they are in the right spot

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.

    I'm in the Contacts form.

I'm not sure if it's the Reconnecting banner message that is causing issues with saving and publishing which is causing users not to see changes.

I assume that this 'Reconnecting' relates to Databases, Servers, which is managed by Microsoft as we are in the cloud.

Only seeing this in these two environments??

I've been seeing the reconnecting banner when working in generative pages and some other areas several times recently. It hasn't prevented a save and publish, so I don't think it should be causing you a problem here.

If the publish wasn't going through, you would receive an error stating such. My suspicion is still that this is a user issue when reviewing the lower environments, especially since you can see the information on your side. There's no way the configuration in the system was selectively published to where only some people can see it.

    Hi,

I'll check again with the user, this time screen sharing via Teams, when they are back in on Monday.

One good think is that you have seen the Reconnect banner is other areas, and not just me 😊

Yeah, it's been popping up in a few of my client environments over the past week or two, so it is not just you. No idea what it's about, but it hasn't caused me any problems so I figure I'll ignore it until it goes away or breaks something.

Good luck and keep us posted!
