Issue Cancelling Sales Order of Type "Journal" I'm encountering an issue while trying to cancel a sales order of type "Journal" in Dynamics 365. When I attempt to cancel the order, I receive the following message: "You can cancel sales order lines only if the line quantity has not been processed for delivery. The sales order S004682 is partially cancelled, and the status is Open order." The sales order is not cancelled, and its status remains Open order.
Sales orders with the order type set to Journal cannot be canceled in the traditional sense because they are considered drafts and not processed for delivery, invoicing, or confirmation.
Journal type sales orders are just drafts, so you can't cancel them like regular orders. To resolve this 1 ) You can delete the order directly, or 2 ) You can change the order type to Sales order, then cancel it if needed.
