We have different part numbers for the same part but for each ship-to location (customer plant location). For example: we have 123A01 and 123A02 setup as different part numbers although it's essentially the same part. The only difference between these part numbers is different packaging and labels. We receive the demand from customers separately for each ship-to location.
However, when we run master planning, we get Planned Production Orders for each of these part numbers. Is there any way to group these Planned Production Orders for the "same part" (probably Product Family)? And then have a point where we can decouple these into separate parts to (01, 02 etc.) to be run for production.
