Power BI Authorization Prompt in D365 F&O: One-Time or Multiple Times?

  • We are currently implementing Power BI integration with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and would like to understand the behavior of the ‘Authorize Power BI’ prompt that is displayed when users access Power BI content from D365 F&O.”
  •  
  • Is the “Authorize Power BI” prompt designed to appear only once per user or is it appear one time in a day for once per user?
  • Under what scenarios would the authorization prompt appear again? Any real time examples please?
  • Is there any official Microsoft documentation or blog that explicitly mentions this one-time authorization behavior once per user for one time in a day?

    The Power BI authorization prompt in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) is designed to appear only once per user.

    could you please help me to understand that the authorization prompt should appear only one time per user? I would appreciate it if you could share any reference or information available as Microsoft standards.

    Hi @Subra 

    I have not faced this issue in my environment. However, for my clients, the “Authorize Power BI” prompt window (refer to the attached screenshot) is appearing multiple times when accessing Power BI reports from D365 Finance & Operations.

    The users would like to avoid receiving this authorization prompt repeatedly. Could you please advise whether this is expected behavior or if there is any configuration or setting that can reduce the frequency of the authorization prompt?
