BC unable to open a socket connection over proxy after upgrading from version 27 to 28

Hello,

we just upgraded our customer's Business Central from version 27 to 28, they are using a proxy that handles a secure connection to the user but connects to business central over http protocol.

After the upgrade business central web client works as intended internally, however it hangs when opened through proxy.

This is the error found in the Event Viewer:
