I am using Dynamics F&O.

Can somebody describe the configuration that I can use to assign one part number different standard cost depending on what site the inventory is in? An example use case would be an item that is made in China and stored in China (site 10) would have a different purchase overhead rate than it would once it is imported into the United State (site 20) or into the EU (site 30).

It appears that the item can only have one cost group so wondering if there are best practices for how others are configuring their items knowing that there are cost components that would include things like tariffs and transportation costs that will be variable depending on the site.

Hi,

On storage dimensions. you can use "Financial inventory" set to "Yes" for site.

Hi MarcRohde,

You can absolutely configure one part number to have different standard costs depending on the site.

By default Storage financial dimension is Yes in storage dimension groups

Define the OH rate based on % of the Purchase price in the costing sheet.

Hi Marc,

You can first check if on the Storage dimension groups, the line for the dimension Site has the Financial check box enabled.
Then when defining the pending prices on the Costing version, you can distinct the prices per site.
