Hi All,
I have to populate data in Dataverse from salesforce and I'm using dataflow so all the data is coming from there. but in email table (To,From,CC,Bcc) is not coming because the data type of this are partylist. now what I'm doing is I'm trying to populate the data from powerautomate but in the fileds its not showing me the partylist text fields which I created it shows but partylist is not showing. So how to populate the data in it like from automate or some other ways.

I also did the partylist & calculated filed to populate data but it locks user to add manually data in the partylist so now what is the other way to do this.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Could you add some screenshots to visualize a bit what you are describing? I have a hard time to understand what you mean.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hi @Adis,

Here is the screenshot of my problem -

You see Bcc & CC now if I go on flow here, I cannot see Bcc and CC party list but I can see text fields.

    Hi,

Which step is this in Power automate? There are several ones to send emails.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

Party List fields in Dataverse (such as To, From, CC, and BCC in the Email table) are special types that can hold multiple records from different entity types (e.g., Contacts, Accounts, Users). Because of this complexity, they are not directly exposed in Power Automate as standard text or lookup fields.

    Recommended Approaches:

    1. Use the Dataverse Web API
To populate Party List fields programmatically, consider using the Dataverse Web API. You can construct a JSON payload that includes the appropriate party list structure, specifying the entity type and ID for each participant.

    2. Use Power Automate with HTTP Action
If you're working within Power Automate, you can use the HTTP action to call the Dataverse Web API and pass the party list data manually. This requires:

      • Authentication setup (via Azure AD).
      • Proper formatting of the party list array in the request body.
    3. Use CDS Connector with Bound Actions (Limited Support)
The Common Data Service (Dataverse) connector in Power Automate has limited support for party list fields. You may need to use bound actions or custom connectors to interact with these fields.

    4. Custom Plugin or Azure Function
If the integration is complex, consider creating a custom plugin or Azure Function that receives the data from Salesforce or Power Automate and populates the party list fields using server-side logic.

    5. Avoid Calculated Fields for Party Lists
As you've noted, calculated fields are not suitable for populating party lists dynamically, as they restrict manual entry and do not support multi-entity references.

If this response helps resolve your issue, please consider marking it as accepted so it may assist others facing similar challenges.

    Best regards.

If you are using the New Designer of the Power Automate, that may be why you're not seeing the partylist fields. You can try toggling the New Designer Option Off, if it's not already and see if you are able to see the party fields.
