Unable to import Certification Number in “Set up certifications V2” entity – Incorrect data error

Hello everyone,
I am trying to import certifications into the vendor record using the Set up certifications V2 entity.
There is a mandatory field called “Certification number” that is blocking me. When I create the certification manually, I can freely enter any value (it is a 20-character text field). However, when I try to import it via Data Management, it does not work.
It also does not work using the Excel add-in.
The error message is:
“The column CERTIFICATIONNUMBER in entity Set up certifications V2 contains incorrect data. Correct the data and try the import again.”
Has anyone encountered this issue before?
Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi,

    please take a look at point 12 in this link and check if it fits your case: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/dm-error-descriptions
    It says to check the following things: "null, empty, or duplicate data is provided for columns that are mandatory for the data entity you're using. If any rows contain missing or invalid data for those columns, correct the data and retry the import."

    Also: is it a custom or a standard entity?

    As suggested, it's a duplicate or null value issue for the column Certificate Number in your excel which is importing.
    make sure it's not duplicate, null or not contains any special character.

    Another piece of information that can help you identify the issue in these types of problems (maybe you already know it): when you add the entity to an export project you are able to see mandatory fields, the type and the length by clicking on "Entity attrinbute":
    There you can see the structure of the entity and the mandatory fields:

    Hi,

    I tried in a demo environment and for me the import worked just fine. These are the steps that I followed:
    1) I created a record in the system;
    2) I created an export job for it;
    3) I modified the Excel exported using the data I wanted to fill in;
    4) I imported the Excel and it succeeded. So I suspect there is a problem in youur import data
    Be careful that you have to indicate the partyID of the vendors and not the vendor account, so be careful if you have leading zeroes.

    I attach you the sample Excel file I use, in green the fieklds that you have to change in order to match your data.

    If it does not load the file, here is the screen of the data I used:

    Sorry I tried the import with 2 records and I got the error message for a duplicated key violation. Starting to think is a problem with the entity itself... would not be the first time. In case can you have a developer looking into the key of the Data management table? Or open a ticket to Microsoft since is a standard entity (of couyrse if no one here on the forum have better ideas)
