We have an issue with the cost security on items list, the Unit Cost ACY(a customized field) is set to visible false and the remaining cost fields visible based on Cost Visibility on User Setup.
When we try to add the columns and add Unit Cost ACY it is showing on the grid and so are the other columns.

Please advise why this is happening and how we can make sure it is not happening elsewhere.

Cost Security Issue

As you mentioned, it's a customized field, and the cost visibility in the user setup is also custom functionality, as it's not available out of the box. This seems to be an issue with the customization, so you should reach out to the developer or team who created it to troubleshoot.

Cost Security Issue

If you are using AL code to handle field visibility, ensure the code explicitly sets the visibility based on the user’s access rights or specific conditions. Debug the visibility logic or review any customizations that may be overriding the field visibility settings
