Error Creating Loan Record in Business Central - Default Dimension Issue

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue while trying to create a loan record in a specific company in Business Central. When I attempt to create the record, I get the following error:

{
"error": {
"code": "Application_DialogException",
"message": "The field No. of table Default Dimension contains a value (L10119) that cannot be found in the related table (Loan)."
}
}

Typically, when working with other tables, I first insert the record and then link the default dimension using the table ID, record number, dimension code, and dimension ID. However, this approach seems to be causing a problem with the loan table.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have suggestions on how to resolve this?

    Hello

    Looks like you need to fully complete the insert into the custom Loan table before trying to set the Def Dim. Based on the error anyway - the system doesn't see that the row with No. L10119 was present yet.

    This looks like a custom development. Sometimes the record in the "Loan" table might not be fully committed before the default dimension is being linked.
    Ensure that the record is fully inserted and committed to the database before attempting to link the default dimension. You can use a COMMIT after inserting the loan record or ensure that the transaction completes before linking.

    Hi
    Is this part of a custom development? If so, please contact the developer or company responsible.
