Parse JSON is what actually does in file based integration in D365F&O

Dear team,

I used and saw the Parse JSON while we are working with Recurring file based integration in Logic Apps.

What I understood, the JSON file which we received from third party application.  We first stored into  Azure blob storage and from the Azure blob storage we download the file.
Then we use PARSE JSON to read and extract the value from the file.
Through the process of PARSE JSON, we also received the EXECUTION ID, which we can used later to get the Execution summary status.

Is my assumption is correct?

Please advise.

    No, it doesn't sound correct.

When you receive JSON, you can work with it, such as parsing it. You don't have to upload it to a blob and download it again; that would just give you what you already had before the upload.

Also, parsing a JSON file has nothing to do with an execution ID and execution status. There you seem to be talking about an F&O data management API, not JSON parsing.

    Thanks Martin,

I understood well the second paragraph.

In first paragraph as mentioned "When you receive JSON, you can work with it, such as parsing it."

What is parsing? I mean suppose I have received the JSON file and we parsing it.

What is mean that? I mean what it does wth file after parsing.

    Kindly advise pls.

    Thanks!

Parsing is just the process of readying the Json and extracting the information you want from it.

Are you trying to figure out an existing Logic App here and how it works? Why not share some of the details (e.g. redacted screenshot) and we can help you with specifics?

    Thanks
    Anthony

Thanks Anthony, I will try to share it.

Actually from the client VM and as per the company policy they disabled the screenshot. Thats the reason I couldn't share it...

    I explained here...

I create a folder like Inbound on Azure Blob storage.

    In Logic app

Step 01 - Initialized the variables like Tanent I'd, Application id, secret key etc

Step 02 - Download the file from Azure blob storage

step 03 - Parsing the JSON file.

Step 04 - Post call for Enqueue

Step 05 - With the execution id, check the Execution summary status.

Am I correct with the process.

    Kindly advise pls.

    Thanks!
