An attempt was made to set a report parameter defined in this report

ReportReport

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with a report in Dynamics 365 F&O. When running the report, I get the following error:

An attempt was made to set a report parameter 'SalesInvoiceDs_isTaxInvoice' that’s not defined in this report

I’ve already verified the following:

  • The parameter SalesInvoiceDs_isTaxInvoice exists in the report parameters.

  • There are no duplicate parameters with the same name.

Despite this, the error persists.

Has anyone encountered this issue before or can suggest what might be causing it? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Can you tell us what exact report you try to run? Is it the invoice or any other report? Do you have customizations on the report(s) where you see this issue?

    Hi,

Please check that the properties of the parameter at both the DataSet level and the Report level are matching. Compare with Standard and duplicate custom report.

Next, open your report using the XML editor. Use Ctrl + F to search for the parameter name. Sometimes, the parameter might have a slightly different name which isn’t visible directly in the report designer. Just review the xml and match the parameters.
