How to fill Last archived date of a Sales Order Archive (field 3999)

Hi Community members,

I have implemented automatic archiving of orders (via Sales & Receivables Setup, TAB Archiving).
I would like to implement a retention policy on table 5107 (Sales Header Archive). I noticed that this retention policy is based on field 3999 (Last Archived Date):
Unfortunately this field is not automatically filled when archiving sales orders. This fields remains empty in all situations which I have seen so far:

The result is that the retention policy does not work.

It is by deafult not allowed to change the Date Field No. of this specific retention policy. This field is set by Microsoft.

Does anyone know what I need to do to correctly fill the field  'Last Archived Date' of the Sales Header Archive records? Preferably without any customizations. I assume this should work somehow out-of-the-box.

Thank you for your input on this topic!

Best regards,
Lianne Elzenga

    Thank all for your input.
The solution was actually simple: be patient ;-)

The Last Archived Date is a flow field (like indicated by ZHU, thank you!).

I have set the retention policy to 2 days. After those 2 days the records were correctly deleted.

    Case closed.
