Possibility to re-convert a PO into PR when it is confirmed

Dear Members,

I am able to a PO into PR when it is in the status of "Draft", but not able to do it when it is in the status of "confirmed". I would like to know whether it is possible to convert the PO into PR when it is in the status of "Confirmed". Is it by system design which prevents me reverting? or is there any setup / options that I need to enable/disable which will allow me to revert back the PO to PR.

Image -1 : Screenshot of the PO when it is in the status of "Draft", which is allowing me to delete the PO and taking the item back to PR.
Image -2 : Screenshot of the PO when it is in the status of "Confirmed", in which the remove option is disabled and not permitting to take the item back to PR.

Please help me out by providing an insight/solution to the issue mentioned.

Thanks,
M Saravanan

Possibility to re-convert a PO into PR when it is confirmed
    Hi M Saravanan,

It is possible to make changes like removing order lines on a PO(created from a PR) that is in draft status, though it does get complex afterwards.

But it is not possible to make any drastic changes once a PO is confirmed as it is made a part of formal procurement process.

This is due to built-in functionality and hence, no built-in functions can help you in making any changes to the PO after confirmation. This is due to avoid disrupting the routine downstream process(Invoicing, Goods Receipt).

    Hope this clarifies your issue.

    Best Regards.
