we are looking to enable sending out attachments with the PO confirmation but there does not seem to be any option out of the box, I am investigating setting it up via electronic reporting but would like to know if there is an other way.

Hi,

ER can do it. You can also investigate a freeware tool from Docentric. They offer some really cool stuff, for free.

Hi,

What do you mean by Standard does not have option so send email with PO cofirmation attachment?

Please note- Standard D365 has capability to send PO to vendor by using print management setup.

no i said we wanted to send attachments as part of the PO confirmations, we already have that part set up. we already send out the confirmation using print management.

Hello

Are the attachments stored in SharePoint or Blob storage?

I have not tried to pulling attachments from Blob, but from Share point yes.
If the files are stored in SharePoint and < 50MB, you can use Power Automate (Flow) to fetch the file content and attach the file to an email using a variable.
Please note: You need to use "Purchase order confirmation business event” as a trigger point. Also, use "PurchaseOrderHeaderDocumentAttachments" data entity to retrieve the file name and extension of the attachment, which belongs to the PO. Finally, you need to design the email body within Flow.
