Issue a sales invoice without VAT number

How can I issue a sales invoice to an association that only has a tax code and not a VAT number? If I leave the VAT number field empty, I get an error during registration.

    What country or localization of Business Central are you using? It would be helpful to know, as different localizations have varying tax functionality.
