Users can't select personal list views when they create personal dashboards

Hi All,

I'm CRM system admin. We face current issue on dashboards that users (including system admin) don't see personal list views in opportunities and accounts when creating dashboards. Could anyone advise how to fix this? It happened to us once before and seemed to be resolved by itself.

Thank you.
I have the same question (0)

That's a weird one. Not sure what an underlying cause would be, but here is what I would do to troubleshoot/check out prior to submitting a ticket.

    • Can the users see the personal views when navigating to the home table? This will confirm that the views exist and the users have access to them
    • Is it happening to all users, or only to some?
    • Have you tried using different browsers to create the dashboards? Try using an incognito tab in the original browser to see if maybe the cache is causing issues
    • Do personal views from other tables appear? This can help identify if the issue is personal views system-wide or isolated to the Opportunity and Account tables
    • Do those table have an excessive number of personal views for each affected user?

Any information along the lines of the above can help in troubleshooting and diagnosis, or at least it can help as you submit a ticket.

@CU17110607-0, were you able to determine what was going on? Did any of the troubleshooting steps above yield anything interesting?

    • Is it happening to all users, or only to some? => All users.

    • Do personal views from other tables appear? This can help identify if the issue is personal views system-wide or isolated to the Opportunity and Account tables => The issue only happens with Accounts and Opportunities entities.
    • Do those table have an excessive number of personal views for each affected user? => No.

It happened before, but it resolved itself with none of my team could explained how. After we had the deployed the latest solution, it came back...

Are you on Prem or online? I found some references to this back in the 2011 on-Prem documentation, but that won't help much if you are online.

I found another reference that discussed views not appearing when being created by the SDK, but again this won't help much if you have users creating typical personal views.

Short of either of the above, this may require a Microsoft ticket to have someone who can actually log in and investigate the issue for you. I'm at a loss otherwise to know why this might be happening. Let me know if either of the two links above help.

I've found other thread that said if we update the default list view, it will resolve this issue.
Haven't tried it yet. Will update again once we had tried it.

    Thanks for your help though.
