Cannot create a record in Expense grouped posting transaction details (TrvGroupedTransactionDetails). The record already exists"

Wanted to post an expenses but got this error. Anyone can help me out here?

From the error message its looks like you are trying to create a duplicate record. You might want to have developer look at it if the expense you are trying to submit is not visible on UI. Other possibility is number sequence got reset or changed by someone.

Hi, pay attention the version you are using

If you are on 10.0.45/Platform update 69 may related to this issue, it is already resolved, is fixed on the > 10.36.2363

Hi @FC-24090602-0 ,

If you are facing this issue without having any customization in place then it may be due to some orphan records present in the D365 F&O environment database.

If this issue is coming inside Production environment and not UAT then you should get UAT database refreshed with Prod ( Please remember to take backup of UAT environment database ). Once refresh is complete you can check for orphan records causing this issue and remove them. Then check again the error should be gone. Sometimes if during Database refresh activity any user is logged in and continues working while Database refresh happens it creates orphan or inconsistent records in the database.

If the issue still persists then export this database in BACPAC format from LCS and restore it in Dev environment and debug the issue. Developer should place the debugger breakpoint on Info class addException methods and this should give you the root cause of the error. Please try this and let me know if this helps.
