Error when trying to add invoice account to contact

Hello,
 
We have recently set up an online store that brings in customer to F&O and subsequently to the CE side. We sometimes need to associate these customers with a specific invoice account as they do not come in with one.
 
However, when we try to add an invoice account to these specific customers, we get the following error:
 
Exception Message: Dual Write core application error-Dual Write core application error-Unable to write to Finance and Operations apps due to following error(s): {"Write failed for entity SalesOrderHeaderD365SalesEntity. Table validations errorFor information on troubleshooting see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=%5BPlaceholderString-22%5D - The sales order header entity does not support updates of sales orders which are associated with a retail channel
 
Is there a workaround or some setting that we can update to allow attaching invoice accounts to these customers?
