We have implemented BC recently and while creating the CoA some accounts are created as Income Statement and some journals are already posted. Now the management decide to change this account as Balance Sheet. Is this something we can do it straight forward by changing the type to Balance Sheet from Income Statement?
Thanks for the update. There are no transactions in previous year. There are few G/L accounts they are currently Income Statement type and few JV are posted on this accounts during this year. these accounts need to be changed to Balance Sheet. I am attaching a sample for your reference

this field can be changed directly. It really impacts only the Close Income Statement process, so if You have run this process for the previous period/year already in Business Central, then it could be accountants need to post adjustments if there were transactions in this account in that period.
Otherwise - there are no validations/rules assigned to the Account Type change.
