Business process flow - Automatically pin stage panel

Hello all,

I hope someone can help me clarify the following requirement.

We have a client who is using a Business Process Flow (BPF) on a record (e.g., Opportunity), and they would like the BPF stage panel (the flyout on the right side) to be automatically pinned when the form is loaded – without the user having to manually click on the BPF header.

Basically, the client wants this behavior:

“When a BPF is active on a record, the process stage panel should open and remain pinned to the right side of the screen by default.”

I understand this is currently opened manually by clicking on the BPF name, but is there any supported way (e.g. JavaScript, ribbon customization, form settings) to make this side panel automatically open and stay pinned?

Any suggestions or official documentation links would be highly appreciated.

I don't think there is supported out of the box setting to automatically pin the BPF stage panel when a form loads, also no supported API so that we can programmatically open or pin the fly out panel.

This requirement can be cover in User Training as of now that Inform users to pin the panel manually and system will remember the pinned state for that user on subsequent visits.
