Hi team,

I have received .CSV file through mail from third party application to IMPORT the file in to D365FO.

So, we set Recurrence integration.

We used Postman tool to import the data into D365FO with Enqueue process.

For EXPORT, we used Deueue process.

For both cases it's absolutely working fine.

Now, we have additional requirements -

Customer wants,

1. When Import will happend in d365fo , we need to send notification to the client through mail. We used Postman tool our end.

Is it possible to configure email notifications on Postman tool? To send to third party application.

2. When Export will happened in D365FO, we need to send the file to customer.

Is it possible to configure email with attachment on postman tool? To send to third party application.

***If not possible, then pls. let me know the alternative way to do to achieve this.

Kindly advise pls.

Thanks in advance.

Postman is used for testing by manually creating requests; it's not how your integration will really work. Therefore even if it was possible to do such things in Postman, it would be useless for the real implementation.

Regarding notifications, you have two main options: either the notification will be triggered by F&O, or from the process that will call the F&O API (which may be Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps or something else).

Regarding the email, you could send it from F&O, but if you want to use the recurring integration API, you'll again have something (such as Power Automate) that will request an export, get the exported file and send it by email.

    Thanks Martin for the response.

Yeah, then sure we will replicate the Enqueue and Dequeue process with Logic apps. So, that we can able to configure email notifications as well.

    Am I right track?

Hi Martin, Can we add the .CSV file as attachment for Enqueue process in Logic Apps?

You can't replicate the F&O import/export logic from Logic Apps. You'll call the F&O API from Logic Apps.

No no, I mean to say
Can I use Enqueue and Dequeue process in Logic apps?

Yes, of course you can use call web services from Logic Apps, including the F&O recurring integrations API. I already said that in the first reply: "the process that will call the F&O API (which may be Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps or something else)".
