Preventing Auto-Save on DirPartyQuickCreateForm Button Click

I'm working on a customization for the DirPartyQuickCreateForm in D365 Finance & Operations and have encountered an unexpected behavior
The Issue:
I've added a button (LADNewTva) on the DirPartyQuickCreateForm that opens a popup form . However, when I click this button, the CustTable record is automatically saved/created even though the user hasn't clicked the Save button. This auto-save happens before the popup form even opens

What is the best practice to prevent the auto-save behavior when opening a popup form from a button click in D365FO? I want the record to remain unsaved until the user explicitly saves it.

Saving the record is usually the right behaviour, therefore it's the default. You can change that by setting the Save Record property of your button to No.

By the way, you can refer to form controls by name in code, therefore you don't need code like this.formRun().design().controlName(...) to get a reference.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

It works, thank you @Martin Dráb

The button is added dynamically at runtime via code , it doesn't exist in the AOT form design, so I can't reference it directly this.formRun().design().controlName(...) because (DynamicDetail_VATNum) is dynamically generated within the DynamicDetail group based on the party type selected.

I wasn't talking about DynamicDetail_VATNum. The control that you access by this.formRun().design().controlName(...) is DynamicDetail, not DynamicDetail_VATNum.

You 're right, thank you again.
