Adding Boolean Fields for Grouping by Product Lifecycle and Warehouse in Firm Planned Orders

Hello,

I’m working on a requirement in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO), and I would appreciate any input or insight on this.
We would like to enhance the Firm planned orders functionality by introducing two additional Boolean fields (checkboxes) to allow users to:
- Group by product lifecycle state
- Group by warehouse

They need to have the same behaviour as the standard group by vendor functionality.
I have noticed that there is a method somewhere which seems to be using a key variable and adding string values. However, I am having trouble understanding how it works and how I could add the custom group-by logic.
Has anyone implemented something similar?
Any examples or references would be greatly appreciated.
