Multiple Sales Order Advance Invoices

Hi,
 
In Purchase Order Prepayment we can issue multiple Purchase Order Advance invoices, but in Sales Order Prepayment only Single Advance invoice is possible per Sales Order.
 
Is there are roadmap feature scheduled to allow multiple sales order prepayment invoices? If not, I am looking for some pointers on the customization, Can we implement similar logic like Purchase Order or there are some Challenges/Issues due to which Microsoft has given only 1 Advance Invoice per Sales Order?
 
Appreciate any tips.

    Are you using the new feature "Make payments in advance with prepayment sales invoice"  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/release-plan/2025wave1/finance-supply-chain/dynamics365-finance/prepayment-sales-invoice ?
     
    Because is it suppose to replicate the prepayment function released for the PO, but for the sales order.

    Yes, here's the documentation link for the New Sales Order Prepayment feature:
     
     
    It does not replicate the PO Prepayment feature. There are quite a few things different. For eg:
    1. Only 1 Prepayment Invoice per Sales Order
    2. When applying the prepayment together with Actual invoice and posting, the original Prepayment invoice is reversed with new invoice journal line being created in the Invoice Journal form. In PO Prepayment the reversal voucher is embedded in the Final invoice and no separate invoice journal is created and listed in the AP invoices form.
     
    You can setup and try. Let me know if you find something different.
