Ledger allocation journal Daily batch recurrence issue

Hello Every one,

"The 'As of date' and 'GL posting date' are not automatically updated to the current date in the ledger journal allocation when the batch recurrence frequency is set to daily. Instead, the date always default to the date when the batch was first run.

Below is the test I conducted.

I posted entries on each date from 14'th to 20'th November.

I configured the allocation journal recurrence to a daily frequency starting 14'th Nov.

The run was successful on 14'th. however form 15'th onwards no allocations were made.

How do we make sure the allocation happens based on the today's date without any user intervention?

Thank you, P.K.Kaushik

    Hey,

I am not sure where you put in the dates. Its hard to tell without screenshots.

However, to simply answer your question, you need to put in (Day(0)).

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hello Everyone,

The is related to D365 Finance.

Below is the screen i am referring to

    D365 >> General ledger >> Allocations >> Allocation journals

If i run this job with a recurrence set as daily starting today.

On 11/19/2025, the first job will be run with the "as of date" and "posting date" set as 11/19/2025

On 11/20/2025 the second job also considers the date as 11/19/2025 instead of 11/20/2025.

    Thank you, P.K.Kaushik

Moved from Integration, Dataverse, and general topics forum to Finance | Project Operations, Human Resources, AX, GP, SL forum.

These parameters are fixed dates. The technique suggested by Adis would apply if it was about query ranges, which isn't the case.

It's mainly about LedgerAllocationRequest and LedgerAllocationProcessRequest classes I see no logic there that would change the dates in code.

Therefore it seems that the logic you want (to changes the configured dates based on the batch execution date) does not exist; it would require a customization.
