Hi,

We want to start using the mobile app for warehousing, but Microsoft’s pricing policy seems quite complex. I’m not sure how many licenses we need.

Currently, we have two warehouses, each with one PC station, so we have two licenses at the moment. We plan to introduce the mobile app for warehousing and provide each warehouse worker with a mobile device, totaling 10 devices.

Do we need to purchase an additional 8 Supply Chain Management licenses? At the standard price of $180 per license, this would be quite expensive.

How does the licensing work for the D365 Warehousing app? Has anyone managed the licensing for this app before?

I contacted the sales associate of Microsoft. The sales associate confirmed that you need a D365 SCM license due the following reason:

Yes, each mobile device user will need a full Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) license to access the Warehouse Management app. This is because the Warehouse Management app is considered a core functionality of Dynamics 365 SCM, and each user who needs to interact with it must have the appropriate license.
