If I am assigned a task in d365 customer engagement, I want to receive an automatic notification. How do I set this up? Additionally, I want to receive another reminder when a task has expired and has not yet been picked up.

You can achieve this using Microsoft Power Automate with two simple flows in Microsoft Dynamics 365:

    1. Task Assignment Notification
Create an automated flow that triggers when a Task is created or reassigned.
    • Send an email or Teams notification to the assigned user
    • Include task details like subject, due date, and link
    2. Overdue Task Reminder
Create a scheduled flow that runs daily or hourly.
    • Fetch open tasks where the due date has passed
    • Send a reminder notification to the task owner
