In Business Central, default dimensions from the destination company (Company B) do not automatically apply in Intercompany Journals. The source company’s dimensions are carried over instead.
Check Intercompany Dimension Mapping – Go to Intercompany Setup > Dimensions and ensure proper mapping between companies.
Manually Update Dimensions – After the journal is created in Company B, adjust the dimensions before posting.
Custom AL Code Solution – If needed, an AL extension can auto-apply Company B’s default dimensions. Since this requires development, consider reaching out to a Microsoft Partner or developer for assistance.
