Multi selection lookup on form Grid in d365 fo

HI All;

I  developed a custom form, in that form grid columns, user can select multiple values from lookup (like that i gave multi selection lookup for 3 fields in form grid).I used standard class method "SysLookupMultiSelectCtrl::construct()" for this.

 Problem is :

1.When the user opens the form and selects a record that already contains a value, simply opening and closing the lookup without selecting a new value causes the existing value to be cleared.

2.When the user selects a value from the lookup in the form grid for column “A” in record A, then opens the lookup for the same column in another record (B) but closes it without making a selection, the value from record A is automatically copied into record B.

Need some help.

    Hi charanch,

    Thanks for your question. Note that tagging individual persons is not required when creating a question. There are a lot more volunteers who might be able to provide answers.

    For your first question, you can review similar examples from the standard application. When opening the lookup, it will then pre-populate the already selected values. That prevents clearing the values when only opening and closing the form.

    The second issue might also be related to the first one. Ensure that the correct selected values are populated when opening the lookup form.

    You can find examples on e.g. address purposes and on the party (also customer, vendors, etc) for address books.
