Hi:
 
For documents such as Sales Invoices, how do you get the Tax Group Code to default in?
 
Also, why do some Sales documents force you to enter a Tax Group Code on the line item while others don't?

    Reason of it:
    Not set on Item/Resource/G.L. Account.
    Customer “Tax Liable” not checked.
    Missing mapping in Tax Setup.
    Using manual G/L line without Tax Group Code.
    How to Fix it:
    Add Tax Group Code to items/resources/G.L. accounts.
    Check “Tax Liable” on customer.
    Complete mapping in Tax Setup.
    Enter Tax Group Code manually for G/L lines.

    Hi, The first question is similar to the one I mentioned below. First try to fill in the default Tax Group Code in the master data.

    Regarding your second question, as far as I know, this can only be done through customization, where you can set different conditions based on your situation.

    To get the Tax Group Code to default, you need to set it up on the Item, Resource, or G/L account first. Also make sure the customer is marked as Tax Liable and that the right mapping exists in Tax Setup. For G/L lines, though, you’ll still need to enter the Tax Group Code manually since it doesn’t default there.
