I need to add additional fields to the Ledger Journal data entity so that they can be used in the Excel Add-in template. I have already added the required fields to the data entity, and in my on-premises environment they appear correctly in the Excel designer. However, in the cloud environment, the new fields are not showing up in the Excel designer for selection. Has anyone faced this issue before, or is there an extra step required in the cloud environment to make the fields visible in the Excel Add-in?

Could you help by explaining "not working".

Is it you cannot see the new fields? If so, did you deploy the custom package, that contains your customization (changes for the entity)?

in ledger journal entity it was data management disabled entity, so it does not having a staging table and the entity was not shown in data entitites list , in my cloud dev environment itself it was not working but in on premises it was working

Hi,

Have you also completed the entity refresh?

If not, please refresh the entity list once from Data Management Workspace > Framework parameters > Entity Settings > Refresh Entity list.

This make sure that all the entities are refreshed with newly added fields in the entity. And confirm from the batch job page, it must be completed.

Hi, @AP-17101228-0

Have you done two things:
1) Moved your custom fields for the said entity from your DEV system to where you expect these new fields to be?
2) If the answer to the previous question is yes, and you can see the new fields in the said cloud system from the Data Management workspace (to be noted, sometimes you need to click on Refresh entities list), it could be time for you to look at the Excel/Office Templates which are located at https://YourDynamicsInstance.operations.dynamics.com/?cmp=USMF&mi=DocuTemplate
