I am currently testing interoperation between our UAT environment and our newly created HMRC Sandbox environment. I am following the official MS documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/finance/localizations/united-kingdom/emea-gbr-mtd-vat-integration-sandbox. We have gone through all the prerequisites listed in the Prepare your environment to interoperate with HMRC's VAT web service. We have all the necessary ER formats installed and configured according to instructions, we have installed necessary packages from LCS shared library, we created a test user in the HMRC sandbox environment. Esentially we have checked and double checked that we have done what the documentation details.
As we now try to process the electronic message in order to Retrieve VAT obligations from HMRC for testing interoperation error ocurrs. As we test the "Create VAT obligation request" action, on step 9 of the documentation we grant System admin consent, and instead of being redirected to the to the HMRC portal for authorization, we instead recieve the following error message:

The information is scarce and I find it hard to troubleshoot. And I have tried over the course of multiple days, waiting a little while does not seem to be the solution here.
The action "Test retrieve VAT obligation" is set to Error and response code is 500 which, if I interpret correctly means internal server error.
