Error While Opening POP_PO_Entry Window in GP

Hi,

I set up a new server and installed Dynamics GP version 18.6. The database is also on version 18.6.

When I try to upgrade my customization (.CNK file), which includes modifications to the POP_PO_Entry window and an added form and added all related files, using the 18.6 upgrade process, I encounter an issue.

After deploying the CNK file into the main GP folder, launching Dynamics GP, and opening the Purchase Order Detail window, the system throws an error.

    Illegal address errors when there is custom Dexterity code involved is usually because there is an alternate window.
     
    The custom Dexterity code is not checking to see whether the alternate window is use and just assumes it can reference any fields added to the alternate window.
     
    If the security Alternate Modified ID settings for the user still point to the original form, the code will look for the fields that don't exist and generate Illegal address errors. Bottom line: check the security settings.
     
    If you have not attended Dexterity Training, I highly recommend you take advantage of the course running this year in the week before Summit in Nashville.
