Hello Community,

We Ran Year end Process in Jan 2026
in the year end close template setup
Transfer balance sheet dimensions toggled is set to Yes

Profit and Loss financial dimensions selected as Close All

all P&L balances transferred to Retained Earnings with the dimensions
now we don't want dimensions, so it a good thing to re-run the year process or just post reclassification entry.

Hi,

Re‑running the year‑end process is the recommended option, as it recalculates closing balances and posts a single Opening voucher with correctly summarized values. This results in a clean audit trail, clear traceability, and alignment with standard financial control and audit requirements.

Hi,

Agreed with @Bharath jain. It is always better to select close single and select the dimension value to which you want your retained earnings account to be summarized. Adjustments are not the suggested route here as it leads to unnecessary entries for the process which can be reversed and re-run.

For example, i have summarized my Cost center to 007.

Original transaction

Year-end close voucher entry is summarized with the retained earning account balances dimensions summarized to 007 instead of original transaction dimension values.
