Close Income Statement - Post to Retained Earnings Acc - Bug?

When I tried to close the income statement and select - Post to Retained Earnings Acc (Balance) option it creates individual journal lines for every entry. Thousands of lines get created in the journal batch. This used to create a one line entry for each GL account and a balance Retained earnings line, as per all the years I have been using BC. When I try the (details) option it does the exact same thing. I feel like the (Balance) Option seems to be broken now? Can anyone help please.

Seems to be a known issue in BC Version 28.3 and 28.4, according to the linked post below.

Did you also try to add dimensions? If you use dimensions, you definitely want to select them. I think it uses a different calculation approach when done by Dimension so worth a try.

If you must close quickly, you can always calculate your closing entries manually and post.

You could also have a developer extract an earlier version of this object and try to run it with that, but that can be risky and lead to more unnecessary work, i would just create closing entries manually until Microsoft fixes this issue. Could take a while.
