Production uses new Close Opportunity dialog instead of Quick Create form

Hi,

I'm seeing different behaviour between my environments.

  • DEV & UAT: Clicking Close as Lost/Won opens the Opportunity Close Quick Create form, which contains a custom field used by a Power Automate flow.

  • Production: Clicking Close as Lost/Won opens the new Microsoft Close Opportunity dialog instead, which doesn't include my custom field. As a result, my flow no longer works.

  •

I've checked:

  • Same Dynamics version
  • Same solution
  • Same Opportunity Close Quick Create form (only one exists)
  • Same customisations

  •

Only Production behaves differently.

Does anyone know what determines whether Dynamics uses the Quick Create form or the new Close Opportunity dialog? Is this controlled by a feature flag or environment setting?

I have the same question (0)

this behaviour should be controlled by an environment-specific setting in the Sales Hub and is not necessarily transferred with your solution.

Please check the following setting in the affected Production environment:

Sales Hub → App Settings → General Settings → Lead + Opportunity Management → Opportunity Closing

Enable the Custom fields on closing form toggle.

When this setting is enabled, Dynamics uses the customizable Opportunity Close Quick Create form, allowing your custom field to be displayed and populated. When it is disabled, users may instead see the standard Microsoft Close Opportunity dialog, which does not include your customizations.

This would also explain why DEV and UAT behave differently from Production despite having the same solution and form customizations.

I hope this helped, if so please tag it as a useful answer.

    Best regards,
    Jonas

    Hi,

Can you please clarify if you are using Dynamics 365 Sales or the CRM functions in Dynamics 365 F&O, or maybe you are using another Dynamics 365 app?
