Reversal of Discount on Return of a Product in POS

Hi everyone,

We have a scenario around promotional pricing and returns that we're hoping someone has come across before.When a customer purchases items under a quantity-based promotion and later returns some of those items — causing the remaining quantity to fall below the promotional threshold — we need the system to fully reverse the original discount, not just a proportional portion of it.

Here's a simple example to illustrate:

• Promotion: 10% discount when 10 or more Hunters Dry are purchased
• Customer buys 10 units at P15 each (total P150), receives a P15 discount, and pays P135
• Customer later returns 6 units
• The remaining quantity is 4 units, which no longer meets the promotional threshold
• Expected behaviour: The full P15 discount is reversed
• Current behaviour: The system only reverses P6 (proportional to the 6 returned units)

This is a concern from a financial standpoint, as customers end up retaining a discount they no longer qualify for.

Is there a way to configure F&O to handle this correctly — where a partial return that breaks the promotional conditions triggers a full reversal of the original discount? Has anyone dealt with this before or found a workaround?
