Hello Friends,
 
When attempting to test sending an eInvoice for a DEU implementation, I got the following error message using the DEU base XML in D365. Any help or insight to better troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated.

    Unfortunately, MS doesnt provide a ready to go solution for most of these electronic reporting configurations. So, you have to adjust either the report or do some setup, the setup is described in the MS Learn you provided.
    But from the error message, I would guess you need to adjust the electronic report.
     
    Its hard to give you an exact path, because I dont know which configurations (model, model mapping and format) you have downloaded to your repository. I can give you some directions, hoping you can derive it to your case.
     
    Lets start with the error about External code => LineItem/LineBase/TaxTrans/ExternalCode
     
    1. In Electronic reporting, go to your format configuration
    2. Find the field ExternalCode => in my case its the CompanyName
    3. On the right side (Mapping), find the path to External code. In my case its: model.InvoiceBase.CompanyInfo.Name (from 2)
    4. Check if the field (here: Name:String) has an exlamation mark, like in 4. 
    If it has one, then there is a mapping missing from the from the model to the data source. That can be adjusted in the model mapping for the format. This is something I would check first.
