On released products, for any item, when we click on an item and go inside the form from the grid, there are a few fields like Price related to InventTableModule. Now i want to get those fields on the main released products Grid. Now the normal approach would just be to create display methods and drop them on the grid field controls and set the data methods, but one key requirement is that I don't want the fields directly on the grid, I want them to be inserted through insert columns, so due to this the approach of display method fails.

Kindly advise on how to go about this.

    Hi,

Can you please clarify if your question is related to Dynamics AX and what version (AX2012, AX2009, AX4, ...), or if it is related to Dynamics 365 F&O? You used both categories as tag for your question. The answer to your question depends on the product and version you are using.

Have you tried to add respective table as data soruce in form extension, make sure a table realtion exist, if not you also need to create a table relation before adding them on form.

    Hi @SA-15031413-0

If the datasource is exists in released products form, please add those to your Grid or form from the form datasource instead of display methods.

    Thanks,

@Subra, As i specified above, my key requirement is that I do not want the fields directly on the grid. It should be available to be added on the grid through Insert Columns. So how would i populate the relevant data into my fields.

@SA-15031413-0 If the fields is available in the form datasource, the data will be populated automatically in the grid once we added that field or column in the grid.
