Limit on # of Fixed Assets for Depreciation?

Hi everyone,

I know there are licensing limitations on Maintenance Assets in the Asset Management module, but are there any licensing limits or technical limits on the number of FIXED assets that can be posting depreciation on a monthly basis?

I can't find documentation anywhere on this.

Limit on # of Fixed Assets for Depreciation?

Hi,

For asset management, there are limits related to licensing, which is not a technical limitation. For Fixed Assets, there is no limit, but ensure you test the application for performance in case you consider maintaining and depreciating a large number of Fixed Assets. I have seen an environment (AX 2012) with above 50K fixed assets that was running OK.

Limit on # of Fixed Assets for Depreciation?

Hi,

Asset Management is about maintaining physical assets (via work orders), such as servicing a machine.

Fixed Assets, on the other hand, focus on the financial aspects of assets, such as acquisition cost, depreciation over time, etc.

The licensing limitation refers to Asset Management, not Fixed Assets.
