Unified development F&O environment is often slow.

Hi experts, 
We have shifted from Cloud to unified environments for our IP TEST and UAT. These environments are often slow. Specifically when there is a background process which involves creation of records (Around 20-25 records maybe) it is very slow compared to cloud  onprem. Also, it is slow during record deletion / updating as well. Is it common in unified or should I check anything? We are new to unified. Any blogs really helps as well. Thanks in advance.
