Making Azure MS SQL data available in Dynamics.

I am new to Dynamics.   Is it possible to connect to a Azure SQL server and expose the data into Dynamics as an entity?   I would rather not synchronize the data if possible.   Do you think this is possible? Or what is the best way to solve this issue?

No that's not possible. In my view you have two options:

    1. Synchronization

    2. Creating an api exposing the data in CRM

The choice depends on your requirements.
