Twilio SMS support in Marketing ?

Hello.

I have a simple question regarding the maketing module. My client requirement is to send SMS through TWILIO in Marketing. Is there any support for that in marketing ? Or what are the ways that we can use to integrate the TWILIO SMS functionality in marketing module.

    When working with the Dynamics 365 Marketing module, integrating external SMS services like Twilio is a common requirement. However, Twilio SMS is not natively supported within the module.
    You can integrate Twilio via custom workflows or Power Automate flows. To do this:
    • Use the Twilio REST API to send SMS messages based on marketing triggers such as form submissions, segment entries, or customer journeys.
    • Authenticate using your Account SID and Auth Token.
    • Structure your HTTP POST request to Twilio’s /Messages endpoint with the appropriate fields: “To”, “From”, and “Body”.
    This approach supports basic message sending but lacks built-in capabilities for managing templates, message history, or CRM-based targeting.
    Many teams in similar situations explore SMS integration solutions that work natively within Dynamics 365. The most effective ones don’t just send messages—they support features like automation, scheduling, and mapping messages directly to CRM records. Tools such as TextSMS4Dynamics are often referenced in that space for offering a more streamlined, low-maintenance approach to SMS communication within CRM workflows.

    Hi,

    Twilio can be integrated directly with Customer Service, but there is no OOTB way for Marketing:

    Configure an SMS channel for Twilio | Microsoft Docs

     

    You can try to achieve it with Flow (Power Automate) and Custom Channel in Customer Journey.

    Here is the connector information: Twilio - Connectors | Microsoft Docs

    And here is an example of how to create a custom channel with FireText. Twilio SMS can also try to integrate in the same way.

    Thanks for your quick reply. I have read this solution before. What if I don't want to integrate this solution ? What are other ways in marketing ? As per my R&D there are none. But just want to be sure.
