Regarding Dimension Vaue Code XXXXXX isn't valid Error in Project module

Hi,

The error message "The Dimension Value Code must be MEDIUM for Dimension Code CUSTOMERGROUP. Currently it's LARGE." comes out when I try to post Project Journal.

The project has CUSTOMERGROUP dimension, that is LARGE.

The customer in the project has CUSTOMERGROUP dimension, that is LARGE, too.

The company is an evaluation company, so the data is based on Cronus. The BC region is Japan, so the company is W1.

I am not sure why I get this error in Job Journal. Did I miss any setups?

If somebody knows the cause, please let me know.

Hi, it looks like this customer's Default Dimensions has Same Code set, please check.

Hope this can give you some hints.

Thank you for your reply.

I checked Dimensions of Customer 20000 Trey Research, that is set in the Project. Dimension Code "CUSTOMERGROUP" is LARGE and it is the same as Project No.TEST-PJ0002.

I am wondering if this might be a bug in the evaluation company in W1...

If it's a bug, it's a bit strange.
You can try the following method to see what value sets "Same Code"

RowVersion 212463 looks suspicious.

Hope this can give you some hints.

Hi YUN ZHU,

I checked Default Dimension table as I followed your advice.

In the company, Row Version 218533, this seems the problem... The data was created by the W1 evaluation company creation process.

I was trying to reply to this post since yesterday but was getting some request rejected error.

Go to Dimensions page
Select Customer Group dimension
Click on Dimension--Account Type Default Dim.
Check if there is any record for Table Job Journal

Thanks for your advice!

The Customer Group Dimension dimension was the cause. I changed from "Same Code" to blank in Value Posting, and then the issue was gone.
